SELLE SAN MARCO IS EXPANDING ITS OFF-ROAD OPTIONS WITH THE NEW GND NARROW… WHICH CAN ALSO BE VIEWED THROUGH AUGMENTED REALITY
In the past few weeks we have introduced two new products for the on-road sector, the Shortfit Narrow and Shortfit Supercomfort. Now Selle San Marco is adding a new, off-road model to its selection, the GND Narrow.
The Wide version of the GND model was developed specifically for the E-MTB world and was officially launched last year at the Eurobike trade fair in Friedrichshafen. The new, Narrow version is instead intended for Cross Country and the whole Gravity scene. It features less width, which guarantees more control over the bike, even on descents, making it easier for the biker to go “off-saddle”.
Design and ergonomics in the new GND were conceived specifically to achieve the perfect mix between areas of release and areas of support. The front part is wider and softer compared to other saddles in the collection, offering increased comfort, even in more aggressive positions (for example, on climbs). The design, ergonomics, and width of the back part of the saddle offer perfect support for the cyclist, even when they’re not pushing hard on the pedals.
The saddle’s structure is open in the middle to alleviate pressure, while full-fit padding (no hole) prevents riding pants from getting muddy. The padding features a unique double density to optimize areas of support (front and back), complete with two “shock-absorber” inserts to reduce the vibrations generated from off-road terrain and transmitted from the bicycle to the rider.
This saddle is also upholstered with dual materials: the resistant “microfeel” for areas of support and two “woven” areas that guarantee maximum abrasion and scratch resistance on the sides of the saddle itself.
The Dynamic and Racing versions of the GND Narrow model are also available with Gel inserts.
Users can get a “hands-on” look at this new model with the innovative technology of Augmented Reality. This 3D Web viewer makes it possible to get a specific idea about the actual size of the product as well as the ergonomic surfaces and materials utilised.
