SELLE SAN MARCO LAUNCHES THE #OFFICINASANMARCO SOCIAL CAMPAIGN

Selle San Marco has been producing and selling bicycle saddles for more than 80 years. The company was established in 1935 has been continually evolving; today it is one of the most important international players in the world of cycling.

To honour its historical heritage and the reputation that’s been built through all those years, Selle San Marco has decided to create a social media project that will delve into interesting stories about the products developed in their workshops, focusing on successful projects as well as prototypes that never made it to market, limited series items and snippets about cycling champions who have chosen the quality of Selle San Marco models during their careers.

Selle San Marco followers can discover this all-new content on social media @sellesanmarco using the hashtag #OfficinaSanMarco, a naming meant to bring to mind the avid working environment and fine craftsmanship that distinguishes this company.

Selle San Marco is inaugurating this new social campaign by unveiling the ARIA saddle, a product that revolutionized the sector in terms of both technology and design when it first came out. It was 1988, the era of the PC Compatible IBM, and Selle San Marco came up with the idea for a new saddle featuring channelled padding with front and rear air vents for an innovative, simple and functional cooling system that increased cycling comfort. The saddle was covered in electro-welded Memorex material with ergonomic, perforated lining that facilitated air flow all the way to the rear of the seat.
