The quality of Selle San Marco products meets the wonder of Movimënt – Alta Badia, the fun zone located at an altitude of 2.000 m in the heart of the Dolomites.

This summer, tourists who make it up to the summit to discover this fantastic theme park will get the chance to try some new adrenaline-inducing mountain bike routes at Bike Beats Trails. There are three trails immersed in wild nature for a total length of 4.760 metres: the red run is 1.290 m long and generally challenging, with gradients from 9 to 14%; the easier green trail is 1.469 m long with an average incline of 8.5%. Half way down, above the Pic Prè lodge, the two trails merge into one…this is the blue route; it is 2 km long, and fairly easy, with an average gradient of 12%. These are called “flow country” descents, covering mostly dirt and hard sand terrain. They are free flowing and fast, and they feature lots of curves, small obstacles and little wooden bridges which are kept in top condition with daily maintenance from the Movimënt crew.

For anyone who wants to enjoy some company and take off on the discovery of the territory without too much effort, don’t miss the Tours with electric e-bikes that you can rent directly at the lift facilities for Col Alt, Piz La Ila and Piz Sorega, or in the valley at the tourism offices in Corvara and La Villa. These brand new, shiny e-bikes have been fitted with GND model saddles, the latest product launched by Selle San Marco during the Eurobike trade fair in Friedrichshafen, the most important international cycling sector expo. The GND model is available with Gel inserts in a version particularly suited to the world of E-MTB. Furthermore, at the rental centres you can also test the Dirty model, the saddle developed specifically for MTB (enduro) applications. Every Thursday afternoon a mountain bike instructor is available to supervise and accompany less experienced riders who want to work on their technique.

“We were immediately and enthusiastically on board with this new partnership with Moviment – Alta Badia,” says the Marketing Manager for Selle San Marco, Paolo Frison“This collaboration is intended to raise awareness of bike mobility. In fact, thanks to these performing electric bikes, everyone will get the chance to ride around the Dolomites and discover the marvels of these places, which are so unique in the world that in 2009 they were declared a UNESCO Natural World Heritage.”

“Working on this project, we discovered that Movimënt and Selle San Marco have a lot in common,” emphasizes Alessandro Huber, Marketing Manager for the Movimënt parks“The parks at the summit of Alta Badia started in 2012 with the first E-MTB Sharing in the Dolomites located at 2.000 m. We really believe in giving everybody the possibility to discover the beauty of the mountains from the saddle of an environmentally friendly and clean mode of transportation like the bicycle, and the collaboration with Selle San Marco allows us to take a significant step forward.”
