SELLE SAN MARCO TRIUMPHS WITH TEAM COFIDIS IN THE 6th STAGE OF THE VUELTA A ESPANA

Selle San Marco and Team Cofidis can celebrate a great victory in the Vuelta a Espana.

The strong French sprinter Nacer Bouhanni made his mark in the sixth fraction, the 155.7 km long Huércal-Overa – San Javier, prevailing in the final bunch sprint over Dutchman Danny Van Poppel (Team LottoNL-Jumbo) and Italian champion Elia Viviani (Quick-Step Floors).

As predicted, the sixth fraction was decided in a spectacular head-to-head between the strongest sprinters in the Vuelta pack. The first part the stage featured a three-man breakaway made up of Richie Porte (Bmc Racing Team), Jorge Cubero (Burgos BH) and another colour bearer for Team Cofidis, Spain’s Luis Ángel Maté, who is the current leader in the climbers’ classification. The adventure of the day’s three attackers ended 30 km from the finish line, making way for the jet men in the pack.

For Team Cofidis Nacer Bouhanni’s victory is the 20th bulls-eye of the season.

As always, to give their all and achieve their best, the riders on Team Cofidis can count on products from the Selle San Marco collection, even here at La Vuelta.

With this win in the Vuelta, Nacer Bouhanni brings his season victory total to six. To race and express the most of his potential in the sprints he has chosen the Aspide Racing (Full Fit) model, a light, resistant saddle featuring innovative design and high performance.
